JAKARTA, 16 June 2014 – PT Mega Mahadana Hadiya (Mahadya), a business unit of PT Tiara Marga Trakindo (TMT), through its sub‐holding PT Mahadana Dasha Utama, expands its retail business by introducing Wingstop in Indonesia. Wingstop is number 1 chicken wings restaurant from USA, and is the second retail brand presented by Mahadya after Carl’s Jr. burger restaurant. The first Wingstop outlet in Indonesia officially opened on Monday, 16

June 2014 in Kota Kasablanka Mall, Jakarta.

President Director of Mahadya, Irzan H. Pulungan, said that through Wingstop, Mahadya plans to strengthen its position in the Indonesia’s retail Food & Beverage industry. The company plans to open 5 Wingstop restaurants in Jakarta this year, and will expand to various cities in Indonesia by opening 100 outlets in the next 7 years. Wingstop will provide approximately 3,000 work opportunities for Indonesians, both directly and indirectly. This is in line with one of Mahadya’s mission, as inherited from TMT.

“Wingstop’s competitive edge is that we offer 10 flavors, far more than any other chicken wings restaurants in Indonesia that only have 2‐3 flavors. By offering 10 flavor varieties: Garlic Parmesan, Lemon Pepper, Louisiana Rub, Hickory‐Smoked Barbeque, Hawaiian, Teriyaki, Cajun, Hot Original, Atomic, and Mild, we want to satisfy the appetite of chicken wings aficionados in Indonesia,” explained Irzan.

President & Chief Executive Officer of Wingstop Holdings, Charlie Morrison, who came directly from the United States for the opening ceremony voiced his trust in Mahadya as a qualified partner to develop Wingstop in Indonesia. “Mahadya has a proven track record with its first brand, and I’m confident Wingstop Indonesia will also expand and book positive growth from year to year under the management of Mahadya,” explained Charlie.

Moreover, Wingstop Holdings also recognizes Indonesia’s big and developing market potential from its majority young population. “With over 20 years of experience in the chicken wings business, Wingstop is confident to penetrate the Indonesian market, as well as strengthening Wingstop as an international brand. Wingstop has more than 600 restaurants in the United Stated, Mexico, Russia, Singapore and the Philippines,” he added.

Chief Operation Officer Food & Beverages of Mahadya, Mehdi Zaidi, added: “Wingstop’s strength is in freshly made to order food, which means menus are prepared upon order. Wingstop does not keep its chicken wings in display warmers or reheats its products in microwaves. This assures the customers to only receive the freshest and most delicious chicken wings. Furthermore, the chicken wings are seasoned to perfection with recipes that are created through lengthy research and development in our R&D kitchen. The ingredients we use are carefully selected to maintain the highest quality standards”. Mehdi also pointed out that Wingstop comes with a high service standard. “Always giving a warm welcome to our customers, more like friends than just our guests, is the commitment of our team,” he said.
